This Broken Home

Will Bowes

I don’t remember why I came here

It’s been years since I’ve felt safe here

And if walls could talk they’d have so much to say,

but no one's listening

The vibrant colours faded, chipped away,

and no one's painting

I guess it’s the end

I'm saying it loud

Why try to build something that’s wearing out

It’s all caving in

No fixing it now

It’s time to face this broken home and tear it down

You told me you dreamt of getting old here

But even the flowers didn’t grow here

And if walls could talk they’d have so much to say,

but no one's listening

The vibrant colours faded, chipped away,

and no one's painting

I guess it’s the end

I'm saying it loud

Why try to build something that’s wearing out

It’s all caving in

No fixing it now

It’s time to face this broken home and tear it down

Tear it down, tear it down, this broken home

Tear it down, tear it down, this broken home

I guess it’s the end

I’ve said it out loud

We keep trying to build something that’s wearing out

It’s all caving in

No fixing it now

It’s time to face this broken home
