Moon Not Mine

Gia Margaret

In the evening,

under full moon,

separating me from this.

Under a full moon

eclipsing.

He turned the lake onto it's side.

When I'm on your side

I'm on mine.

When I'm on your side

I'm on mine.

And I see you.

Clear, I see you. I do.

But you're not only mine.

In the distance,

out here children play

and the lights are beaming behind.

And they're screaming.

Well, now they're leaving.

I don't need to tell you or anyone

why I feel anything at all.

I was inside then (of my body).

For the first time now I feel my soul s i n g i n g

and my heart beating.

S i n g i n g

and my heart beating.
