Autumn’s Decay

YUWAN

Leaves are falling like the days we left behind, still here.. Golden streets, but you’re not by my side

The wind whispers all the things we used to say

Now it’s just a silence where you used to stay

And I try, but your shadow’s in the breeze

But i Can’t escape the ghost of you in me

And I try, but I feel you in the rain

In every quiet, feel you’re still calling my name

Fall is fading, so are we

Colors dying on tree

I breathe you in, you slip away

Like smoke that curls at the end of day

Too late to run, too soon to stay

You left in autumn’s soft decay

These streets remember how we used to laugh so loud

Time moves on never looking back

And I try, but I feel you in the rain

In every quiet, feel you’re still calling my name

Fall is fading, so are we

Colors dying on every tree

I breathe you in, you slip away

Like smoke that curls at end of day

Too late to run, too soon to stay

You left in autumn’s soft decay

If I could hold you once again

Would I still feel this cold within?

Or was it always meant to fade…

Like the light in November’s end

Fall is fading, love’s undone

goodbye before the sun

Could freeze the tears I didn’t cry

I held it in, but wonder why

Too late to run, too soon to stay

You left in autumn’s soft decay
