How am I walking where the echoes sleep?

How am I chasing what I cannot keep?

Through the trembling grey

They ran toward the moon

Not even Knowing what they hoped to become

I know what I am- bare and barely whole

The moon feels too far for something like me

Still inside this tunnel, skin too soft to leave

The night before the light

The night before the light feels far too long

This place is full of faces I don’t know

But we’re all alone in here

Moving slow - at least we’re walking the path

That path feels true

Too far to turn, no sign to review

Maybe we’ll find somewhere new

This hush carries us

I know what I am - bare and barely whole

The moon feels too far for something like me

Still inside this tunnel, skin too soft to leave

The night before the light

The night before the light feels far too long
